Catalyst Quartet + Gabriel Cabezas: Encuentros
After two seasons of drag shows, dance performances, and deep dives into The Met’s collection, Catalyst Quartet makes its long-awaited debut at The Met Cloisters, finishing its historic two-season Met residency with yet another powerhouse collaboration—this time featuring cellist Gabriel Cabezas, whom the Chicago Tribune has heralded as “nothing short of brilliant.” Jorge Amado Molina’s Relatos mágicos, commissioned by and dedicated to Catalyst and Cabezas, anchors an electrifying program of music by Cuban and Cuban American composers.
